Safron Rossi Part 1

with Safron Rossi
1

Hello everyone, in this episode of How I stumbled across Jung I am speaking with Safron Rossi, Ph.D. Safron has spent her life steeped in literature, religion and mythology, fields in which she holds her degrees. She is Core Faculty in the Jungian and Archetypal Studies MA/PhD program at Pacifica Graduate Institute teaching courses on mythology and archetypal symbolism. For many years she was Curator of the Joseph Campbell, James Hillman and Marija Gimbutas manuscript collections at Opus Archives.

Amongst other things we talk about her love of myth as a child, how she got to Pacifica Graduate Institute. Joseph Campbell, the Heroes Journey, Hillman and the Odyssey as initiation. And some of the initiation into the feminine for Odysseus through Calypso, Circe and Nausica(and some of the goddesses that might lie behind them). Please note there was an internet outage whilst we were recording and we were cut off too soon at the end.
