Logos and Eros
Logos and Eros seem like two of the really powerful forces in the world. 'Lógos' is sometimes associated with the principle of logic and structure(traditionally associated with spirit, the father world and the God-image). There seems to be some order with Logos and it can sometimes remind me of 'ín the beginning there was the word' and it might be the Father's word and with the sermon on the mount and the 10 commandments. And we have also had quite some time doing the Rational Enlightenment in a more secular context, with its reason and logic. But Éros seems like a more deeply moving mysterious force or creative principle to me, I remember taking psychedelics once, as a youth and being overwhelmed by the eros of the cosmos, if I could put it like that. It has a different feel about it than Logos. The world is created through love, and through deep desire, and through longings and yearnings, almost. I have always liked what Hillman said. That the need for 'Psyche' is for love, and that the need for Eros is Psyche, and they need each other.
