1. Alchemy - Marie Louise Von Franz

You could spend one hundred years wading through the dense and complex esoteric symbolism of Alchemy and not penetrate into its secrets. But luckily Marie Louise Von Franz has a most incisive clarity of intellect and can open up the rich treasure house of imagery of Alchemy and make it accessible. Alchemy can enrich our understanding of psychology, and speak towards some of the processes of the ‘psyche’ and where we are in our process.

And this book is a significant amplification and extension of Jung's work. It provides different ways of looking at the individuation process and the transformation of personality. Anyone involved in their own psychological development is an alchemist, in a way, and this book is a practical guide to what is going on in the laboratory of our own unconscious.
