In this episode of the podcast I am speaking with Dr Ashok Bedi about East and West. Amongst other things we talk about some of his own journey between the East and West. His Grandmothers Hindu teaching stories, Jesuit education, Psychiatric training in the UK, Freud, stumbling across Jung, how he became a Jungian Analyst, returning to the soil of his traditions , an Eastern view of individuation, integrating East and West. Studies in the triune brain and Jung’s encounter with the East.

Dr Bedi is a Diplomat Jungian psychoanalyst and a board-certified psychiatrist. He is a member of the Royal College of psychiatrists of Great Britain, a diplomat in Psychological Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of England, a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. Trained in India, Great Britain and the US.

He is author of the books, Path to the Soul, Crossing the Healing Zone, The Spiritual Paradox of Addiction, Awakening and The Slumbering Goddess: The Latent Code of the Hindu Goddess Archetypes. Over the last several years, he has been the International Association of Analytical Psychologists liaison person for developing Jungian training programs in India. He leads the annual “In the Footsteps of Carl Jung in India”.
